** 1. The immobilizer is located in the housing mounted on top of the ignition switch by 2 Torx fasteners. Remove the Torx fasteners from the immobilizer sensor housing to separate it from the ignition switch. 2. Insert the key into the sensor. Secure the key in place- using electrical tape or similar. The immobilizer can now be reconnected and installed on the motorcycle. 5. The key switch elimination harness can now be installed. The smaller 2 pin connector with the 2 blue wires will not be plugged in for models with an immobilizer. **
NOTE: This KE Harness will not work on models with lighting controls on the RHS switch.
Super simple install
The part from woodcraft was a simple, clean install that looks better than factory.
Takes a little time to do it right (route it beside harness under tank) but absolutely plug and play! No more worrying about breaking/losing the key, cuts weight, and made room for mounting my lap timer. Great purchase!!!
Haven't used it yet but it's installed and fits perfectly (R1 5vy) although the overall length could be at least 5" shorter and still be long enough. Great product anyhow. Also, excellent customer service!
Great product, easy to install and gets rid of the need for your key. Fit, Finish, and Funtion A+++
